QSCP partner Braintree Cooperative Bank launched it’s “Savings Makes Cents” program at Lincoln Hancock Elementary School today with the fourth grade students during an assembly in the school cafeteria.
The Savings Makes Cents program was created by the State Treasurer’s Office through partnership with Braintree Coopeative Bank. It offers children of local schools the opportunity to learn more about banking and develop good savings habits. The program will consist of bi-weekly school visits by Bank staff to allow the students to deposit monies in their saving account along with a series of State approved classroom lessons.
On hand for the introduction were bank officials Jeannette Travaline, Director of Marketing and Community Relations, Sally Hughes, Quincy Branch Manager and several officials from the Office of the State Treasurer.
