The 16th annual Quincy Public Schools Fall Gathering was held on November 17 at the Tirrell Room in Quincy. This exciting event provides school department employees the opportunity to make a difference while enjoying each other’s company. Each attendee, as their admission ticket, was asked to donate 4 non-perishable food items to the event. These items are boxed and sealed for delivery to Quincy’s Food Pantries including Germantown Neighborhood Center, Interfaith Social Services, Quincy Crisis Center, and Southwest Community Center. In addition to the generosity of school department employees, our generous Community Business Partners donate financially to purchase additional food items needed.
This year, 100 boxes of non-perishable foods items, as well as 48 cases of soup, were distributed to Quincy’s food pantries. Special thanks to our Community Business Partners including the Tirrell Room, the Quincy Education Association, the Quincy Retired Teachers Association and Baystate Financial Services for their generous donations.
