NEW PROFESSIONAL STAFF ORIENTATION SEMINAR HELD AUGUST 28 & 29, 2013

 

 

Forty-four new teachers and other professional staff participated in the Quincy Public Schools New Professional Staff Orientation Seminar held Wednesday and Thursday, August 28-29 at Quincy High School. This two day event  opened with welcoming messages  from Mayor Thomas P. Koch, School Committee member David McCarthy, and Quincy Public Schools Superintendent Richard DeCristofaro.

Quincy School ~ Community Partnership members AXA Equitable Financial Services, MetLife Financial Services, Montilio’s Bakery, and the Quincy Education Association provided refreshments before and after seminars on topics such as mentoring, expectations and responsibilities, along withopportunities to meet with ther members of the Superintendent’s Leadership Team.

The event culminated with a Trolley Tour of Quincy sponsored by QSCP Platinum Partner, Quincy Credit Union. The tour highlighted many of Quincy’s historic locations for all of the event’s participants.
