The Quincy School ~ Community Partnership continued its annual Backpack and School Supply Initiative during the summer of 2021. Once again, support from our generous community business partners made this initiative possible. Special thanks to Cradles to Crayons, Granite Telecommunications, Mass Bay Credit Union, NAGE (National Association of Government Employees), and Quincy Credit Union. Approximately 3,500 backpacks, with school supplies (pencils, pens, erasers, 2-pocket folders, spiral notebooks, crayons, glue sticks, rulers, scissors and highlighters), were distributed to elementary and middle school students, as well as Central Registration, located in Quincy High School.
Due to health and safety protocols, supply-filled backpacks were delivered to schools and distributed to classrooms by building staff. There were no formal ceremonies held this year.
